Be ready to ask

Make the most of your consultation

Write down a few questions before you go. These cover training, licensing, aftercare and how cost is set.

Good questions to bring

You are allowed to ask all of these. Most providers expect them.

  • Who performs the treatment, and are they supervised by anyone?
  • What license and training do they have?
  • What product or device is used, and where does it come from?
  • How do you decide if this is suitable for me?
  • What does a typical course of treatment look like?
  • What aftercare is needed?
  • What do you do if I have a reaction or a problem afterward?
  • What is the total price, including any follow-up visits?

A short prep list

  1. Your medications, including vitamins and supplements.
  2. Health conditions and any recent changes.
  3. Allergies and past reactions to products or treatments.
  4. Past cosmetic procedures, with rough dates.
  5. Your questions for the provider.
  6. A notebook or phone to record answers and the quoted cost.

Having this ready helps a licensed provider decide what is suitable for you, and it means you are less likely to leave with an unanswered question.

Signs to slow down

Most providers are happy to answer questions and give you time. Be careful if you notice any of these:

  • Pressure to book or pay that same day.
  • No consultation before treatment.
  • Vague answers about who will perform the treatment.
  • Unwillingness to put the cost in writing.

You can look up a license with the Arizona state board that covers that profession. If something feels off, it is fine to walk away.

One form, one local provider, and your questions answered before any decision.
